Is it possible to switch character names?

Question

If I create a new character or buy a character from Bazaar and I want the new character to have my old name... is it possible to switch the names? Is there a way I could give it my old name?

Well you first need to change the name of your old char, if you already sold your old char without changing maybe try asking the new owner…

If you still have your old char you can try renaming and wait a few months to the name be available again, this is a little dangerous because someone else can use this name before you but yes it is possible to switch names

It's typically around the 6 month mark however the official answer from Cipsoft is "several months or even years."
