Zirella is Tom's mother. She was part of the Tutorial Island, but then she was removed from the game when Downport was implemented.

There are still characters on some old worlds which are still in the Tutorial Island, I can guarantee you that these NPCs have not been removed from the game. They are still there, just aren't reachable anymore. On Rookie.pl I found some players which still have a character in the Tutorial Island and they can't go anywhere to avoid being teleported out of the Island.
