I was wondering which option would be better for bossing (as we all know that for general hunting, nothing beats AoE).

Umbral Master Crossbow or cobra? (im asking even tho i noticed there are some similar questions but they are from before the introduction of weapon mastery).

Also, would it be better to just stick with my currently Crossbow of destruction till i get to 300 and skip to Naga? or is that also inferior to either cobra / UMC?

see, it entirely depends on your base damage, the more base damage the better each dist point impacts compared to attack, yet here is the trick if you have good base atk and dist there's a point where Xbow of destruction does more overall damage, specially for spells which don't benefit from base damage but solely from dist, this is because the 3% extra damage to bosses.

As I don't want to do the maths right now I will leave you with this article https://guildstats.eu/articles?id=13716 where you can understand this, and maybe you could update and use the worksheet (it's a lot of work I won't lie), but if my calculations were correct naga crossbow > UMC > crossbow of destruction EVEN taking into account the proficiency system.

Thanks for the comment, i think for sure im gonna get a naga when i reach 300 based on this. Now im just wondering if i should worry about UMC or Cobra or not. I feel like i can just either get a cobra (they are cheap) and use that till i get to 300 and then naga

I would say cobra crossbow might be a great cross for bosses where divine missile excel (outburst regular phase, anomaly, timira, oberon, etc) but for several bosses that's not the case (urma being the best example) so i think it's situational, UMC bonus probably beats cobra crossbow, but it will take a while until ppl know how to measure those for eficiency.
