I recently went to kill this boss and my character got killed with his UE. I got a reward anyway, but it was not great.

I heard that when ppl go to kill Gaz'Haragoth, the best loot goes to the ppl who do the most damage. Considering this boss can kill a low-mid lvl character with one UE (e.g. ED, MS under lvl 300), is it worth taking the risk of going there just for a low probability of taking a nice item if you are not a high level? (They would normally do the most damage).

I would like your advice to know if it is worth going there as a low lvl character next time he spawns (risk/benefit question).

As you said the loot goes to those who does the most damage.

If you got that in mind, if I was you and I was low level, I would go, but I wouldnt put all my efforts in killing it, or risking my life to combo it.

Go down, throw some sds, and if you see that he will ue, go upstairs again.

I wouldn't bother trying to combo it as you have a much higher chance of dieing, but if your on a lower level that you don't care dies as much its better to go on that. I have gone on my level 300 and still gotten sub-par loot and died doing it. Now when I go I just take a lower level around 130 just to get some loot as its still profit as long as I know they got a big enough team to kill it.

I'm RP about to lvl 500, In just gone once to receive the achievement. The risk comparing with I'm taking as prize do not worth to me. Mages I think they shoudl go, but knight and paladins are just wasting time.

I think You should try for achievement or for fun! After achievement, would go lower lvls but magical professions. This is actually dependent the most damage, and it's hard to do other professions.

So you have the Achievement unlocked, the next step is know if you can get some profit?

If you have the lucky to survive, always the boss gonna give you at leats the charms to the blessings (100k) and another little things and wasting arund 20k, now thee question, is you gonna jump on this adventur by 80k of profit?.

And at the end if rhe character is low level, you ca not have to much problem to gain the experience you can loss.

One of the premises of this question is that you are NOT a high level, which means the chances for you to loot one of the very rares is very narrow, if not absolutely impossible. It is only worth to go if these three conditions are met:

  • 1. The high levels on your server will escort you to the very pit where Gaz'Haragoth can be found, otherwise it is very likely that you will die on the way there. Roshamuul is a very dangerous place, its demonic inhabitants can easily kill any low level.
  • 2. You are familiar with the boss mechanics - it is very easy to do so checking the Wiki or some videos on Youtube. Why? because both the UE (for which there's a written warning) and the portals the boss' addons leave on death can lead you into an unexpected death.
  • 3. You have a temple scroll on you, so that you can come back once Gaz is dead. Otherwise, for the same reasons described on point 1, you might die on the way back.

That considered, the loot is very useful, both the blessings and the material for the umbral weaponry crafting.

Good luck!

In my opinion - nope. Best loot gets ALWAYS the person who have dealed the highest dmg. Moreover 1000+ lvls are running with the boss to get some dmg, they know how much is needed. So what chances have random 300-500 lvl player? Litarally none.

On my server there's no risk while killing Gaz'haragoth, but from my point of view it's time waste (if you expect something more than free blessing items).

Trying to kill the low level boss will probably be difficult to get to the spot, as it has many critters. And the reward is far greater for those who hit the biggest hit. You may not even pay what you spent to get there.
