Is it possible to use proxies or vpn to play Tibia anymore?

I use purevpn and Tibia is blocked when I try to log in while using it due to ddos protection. Can you use a vpn catered towards gaming or are all blocked. I'm not entirely sure the difference of proxies and vpns but are proxies also blocked?

It is possible to play Tibia using proxies. I use ExitLag to play and haven't had any problems so far.

I've also used SurfEasy VPN sometimes and havent had any log in problems

I have a friend who still uses proxies as well so I second this answer however I don't use proxies myself nor have I ever.
