What is a Death Toll used for?

I looted from new monsters Death Tool. I couldn't find how to use it, or where i can sell it. Someone here maybe knows? Is it needed for a quest or?

There is a labyrinth in the way to the final boss of the Feaster of Souls Quest, that you can fail to pass. So, everytime you make a try, 2 death tools are 'used' (they dissapear).

The ways of failing the pass are, getting hit by the ghost's attacks, hit by the energy of the walls (which change their location) and if you walk over the spider webs.
