When I will receive message about someone else forging item results?

Possibly some of you who already tried forging items, has realised that when standing next to Exaltation Forge you will see the results (failed/ not failed etc) of other players trying to use this device. My question is- how far away do I need to stand from the Exaltation Forge (or perhaps the person who is forging) to get those messages and If I am with someone in the Team - will they see those messages even if they are far away?

In order to receive the message describing the results of someone using the Exaltation Forge, one must stand at the small isle where the forge is located or on the bridge leading to it. The character using the forge and the forge itself don't even need to be on screen.
