Can the traps used for fighting Feroxa be used for decoration?

Is it even possible to place them (both opened or closed) in a house without them disappearing over time?

Yes, you can use them as deco, they won't disappear if you place them in your house. But no, you cannot open them outside Feroxa's lair or in any other day the event is not active :/
