Why is Avar Tar considered one of the most curious NPCs in Tibia, and what are some interesting facts or lore about him?

I find Avar Tar to be a very intriguing character in Tibia. Could someone explain why he stands out among the other NPCs? The stories he shares seem to be true. Does anyone know of any relevant quests or background information about him?

Avar Tar is a curious NPC because of how he’s built as a character. He’s not just someone who hands out quests: he has a distinct personality, a sharp sense of humor, and an enormous —but necessary— hero’s ego that makes him memorable. He talks about his battles against Ferumbras, monsters, and demons as if he lives in his own world within Tibia. He’s a mix of playful arrogance and classic heroism.
 From a lore perspective, he ties together several legendary elements of the game. He knows about the Excalibug, the Ruthless Seven, and the Pits of Inferno—stories that, for many players, exist only as rumors or legends. What’s curious is that, even though he could take on these challenges, his approach is often more theatrical than practical, which makes him endearing and gives him a unique character within the game world.
I’m not sure he’s actually the most important hero in Tibia, but he certainly acts like he is.
