What happens to a character if we stay the whole day on a no-logout zone?

I guess that the char will log off only at the server save, but I might be wrong... Does it stay there forever or what?

It stays there until server save, and at that point you are logged out as the server goes offline. When you log in again, your character will appear at its home temple.
