Can I use the Koshei's Ancient amulet before finish the quest?

Question

I just wanted to check. If i wear Koshei's Ancient amulet, does it stop it being able to be used against him in the Koshei the Deathless quest. I am pretty sure it wont but i don't want to make a simple mistake. I understand I will lose the amulet if i use it on his corpse.

You can use the  Koshei's Ancient Amulet without any problem, but if you go ahead with the quest you will lose the amulet permanently.
