Each Oramond Raid has it's own boss. On both East and south, the boss will slowly walks towards the gate and then explode and vanish, if not killed in time.

But on west Raid, this doesn't happen, the boss will just keep teleporting from spot to spot...

So, is it possible to eventually kill it solo? Or does it heal? Does it disappear?

Because if it stays there forever and doesn't heal, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to solo it?

Of course it is possible, the main problem is that it's huge waste of time and money ;)

I killed it twice, maybe more when I was 400 lvl (so it was few years ago) with good magic level and it took me more than 2 hours. As I remember my hits with Avalanche Runes were about 50 HP and SDs were about 100. Waste of Sudden Death runes was huge and the worst fact is that you can't be sure, that you will loot item necessary for mount. Some of these bosses always drops it, even 2 pieces (like Minotaur Wallbreaker always drops 2 rolls of covering) but Tremor Worm does not! I killed it solo twice and still don't have Glooth Glider Crank.

So to sum up - Tremor Worm won't disappear until someone killed it. You can spend as much time on this fight as you want. It is possible to kill it solo, but it's in my opinion absolutely not worth it. Nowadays we've got CRITs, higher average levels, mlvls, but waste is still huge and you can loot nothing special.

EDIT:

Perhaps an update to this answer is not necessary, but taking this opportunity, I think it's worth sharing the experience of defeating Tremor Worm solo at level 880!

Accurate character stats:

  • lvl 876
  • magic lvl 130 (157 in eq + loyalty)

Duration of beating the boss - about an hour (56 minutes).

Waste - about 100k (97,296 to be exact). I used close to 800 Sudden Death Runes, and some Avalanche Runes to kill raid monsters, 3 potions to increase my magic level, food etc.

Loot: nothing special, again.
