Why do players call the level 999 area Schrödinger's Island?

Passed the level 999 door in Banuta inside the teleport you go to what we call Schrödinger's Island, but why? Is this the name of a player?

The name was because before the players showing this island some could see this island on map or exiva the players there but didn’t know if the island actually existed or not... so the island existed and not at the same time just like a Schrödinger's cat

An Schrödinger's cat is a experiment of a paradox, you put poison and cat in a box and while you don’t open the box the cat is dead and alive at the same time
