I want to know how was your idea, one day they got up in the morning and thought "We are going to develop a game in which you have to go through several levels and each time you find stronger creatures one after another"

This is an extremely broad question without any real answer.
Tibia was created by three germans, founders of CipSoft GMBH, it was during their college that they had the idea to create it.

More information can be found on the official website as well as the company's website.

I know this is a common question but I need to add a couple of important details. The three young computer science students from Regensburg, Germany who created Tibia was originally Steve, Stephan, and Durin. The students were inspired by multi-user dungeons, or MUDs so they wanted to create their own adventure game. The three full-time students decided to start GIMUD – an abbreviation for Graphical Interface Multi-User Dungeon, which was the working name for the game we now know as Tibia. They didn't know how the game was going to turn out, it was either going to be a huge success or a waste of time. In Spring of 1996 they decided to call themselves CIP Productions, which referred to the fiancial aid program for German Universities. The money helped set up computer rooms, so called CIP-Pools which provided students free access to the internet. The three game developers not only made use of their own private hardware, but also of the university's technical infrastructure, its servers, software, and the World Wide Web. GIMUD, at the time, was turning into a fantasy game as they were created it to be moreso medieval.  GIMUD was too technical so they came up with Tibia which they didn't know at the time was a bone, they wanted something unique and fresh but turns out Tibia's a bone after the fact. The first public test server was set up on January 7th of 1997. It wasn't until 1999 that Guido joined the Tibia team.  He was a Tibian player before he worked for Cipsoft but they met through a mutual friend. In June 2001 CIP Productions grew into CipSoft. In 2003 they launched TibiaME the first massive multiplayer online role playing game for phones! Then to follow was Fiction Fighters …

Please read the article fully you'll appreciate Tibia's history. I also took numerous quotes from this article source: https://www.tibia.com/news/?subtopic=newsarchive&id=1044&fbegind=1&fbeginm=3&fbeginy=2001&fendd=31&fendm=3&fendy=2020&flist=01011111

"CipSoft GmbH was founded in June 2001 by Guido Lübke, Stephan Payer, Ulrich Schlott and Stephan Vogler. However, the development of Tibia, our first product, started much earlier. In fact, it was developed as a hobby project at a time when we still operated under the name of CIP Productions. Nevertheless, thanks to a thoughtful, gradual development, a large fan community and to our experience of many years we managed to work profitably from the start.

The idea to create an online role playing game was born in the autumn of 1995. In contrast to text-based multi user dungeons, which were common in those days, Tibia was to have a graphical user interface which would give players a better idea of the world in which they live.

On January 1997, we were ready to launch a permanent public server. The game has been continually improved ever since and the number of players has never ceased growing, owing, among other things, to the support it received by its many different fansites.

In 2001, Premium Accounts were introduced, which quickly turned into the company's main source of earnings. Thanks to sustainable growth, Tibia is until today one of the largest online role playing games in Europe.Tibia History

TibiaME HistoryIn January 2002 we started to conquer a new platform by porting the successful idea of online roleplaying games to mobile phones using Symbian operating systems. This makes TibiaME the first mobile online role playing game ever.

In May 2003 the game was started after it was presented at the annual computer trade show CeBit in Hannover. By now, TibiaME is available all over the world for any user of a mobile phone service. Also, due to a successful porting the game can be played on most Java-based mobile phones and on all established smartphones.

CipSoft will continue to focus its development activities on online gaming. In line with this policy Panzer League, the first mobile multiplayer online battle arena for tanks, was released worldwide in November 2018."
