I remember you could use it, to get orc leather, but now I can't use the obsidian knife in dead orcs.

When was this possible? I don't think that this ever happened, afaik.

Because the Orc's skin is a lot tougher than other creature's skin.

The Obsidian Knife is too thin to slice through it.

Orc skin is tougher than tanned leather and strangely waxy. Over time, their skin becomes scabby, gnarled, and even more impenetrable, to the point that the most determined thrust causes nothing more than a scratch. that is why the obsidian knife cannot be used to obtain his skin since it is almost impenetrable

That information is in a quest from another game where a hunter dreams of creating armor with orc skin because of how strong the skin is but it is almost impossible to remove it without damaging it and I dream of making armor with small pieces of orc leather and small handles but it is not perfect since when being attacked using it the handles of the armor come off
