I remember that when the players discovered this quest, Qjell was also related on some findings and to me, it seems this quest isn't over yet. Over the years CipSoft kept adding new mysteries that led us to what we have now. Since this item is new and it has a meaning in Deepling language, I wonder if it's related to this quest (to proceed even further) or is related to another new quest?

Or is a item with no current use holding for a future update?

Probably is for a future patch or update a few people already obtained and so far no use or response of any NPC on the isle

No, my brother, it is not!
The Mariner's Compass from the Antoinette is a reward from the optional "Emmanuelle's Boat Repair" mission within "The Order of the Stag Quest", a new questline introduced in the Winter Update 2025, along with the new "Stag Itens", that some of them are now considered the BiS itens.
So, The Mariner's Compass is obtained by bringing 30 Salvaged Iron Parts + 20 Salvaged Bronze Parts + 10 Salvaged Silver Parts to NPC Second in Command Demeron.

Fun fact: The compass is a decorative item featuring the inscription JT(O~X, which means "UNDERSEA" in Deepling language. :D

Now, the Opticording Sphere Quest was added on 2013 (12 years earlier) with difficulty 4/5 (not particular because of the power of the bosses, but the duration and complexity).

Oh and yeah, brother, both quests are already finished.
Hope I could answer all.

It seems that you don't know the history behind the Opticording Sphere quest, it was solved with each update CipSoft has implemented over the years, people found some mysteries and could only solve them years later. Currently my question can't be answered because probably there isn't a use for this item yet, but it may be related, because the final reward for Opticording Sphere quest brings more answers than conclusion. PS: I know this item is obtained from the Order of the Stag quest, but he matches some of the riddles from the Opticording Sphere quest.

Yes I agree the answer is a little misleading and hard to read. Maybe it has a future use who knows!
